Overview
The Challenge
MAST Construction has been taking on demanding industrial work since 1987: grain elevator restoration, industrial coatings, sandblasting and metal cladding, often at heights other crews won’t touch. Formerly Blue Bronna Painting, the company came under new ownership and a new name, and needed an identity to match the work it does today. I led the full rebrand, from the new identity through to the website and print materials.
“Blue Bronna Painting” no longer described what the company did, and the brand didn’t reflect a crew with decades of experience on some of the toughest jobs around. The new identity needed to stand out in an industry full of safe, generic visuals, while still feeling established and trustworthy enough for large industrial clients.
The Identity
The new name comes from the owners themselves: Mark and Steve It’s a nod to the people behind the work, and fittingly, a mast is also a tall, steady structure, a good match for a crew known for working at heights other companies avoid. The logo builds on that idea by putting MAST’s specialized boom lift system right inside the M, so the mark itself shows the equipment that sets the company apart. A distressed texture adds grit and history, a nod to more than 35 years in the field, without making the brand look dated. A bold red and navy palette helps MAST stand out in an industry full of greens, greys and unremarkable branding.
